Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, moral crises, and recurring natural disasters have significantly challenged traditional da’wah practices worldwide. Restrictions on physical gatherings and shifts in public communication behaviour have accelerated the adoption of digital and interactive platforms. As a result, the integration of Islamic preaching with information and communication technology (ICT) has become a crucial mechanism for ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of da’wah activities during times of crisis. This study employs a qualitative content analysis of 45 scholarly works published between 2020 and 2024. The findings indicate that interactive da’wah characterized by two-way communication, multimedia engagement, and accessibility has transformed Islamic preaching into a participatory and resilient practice. Platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Live and Zoom effectively disseminate religious messages, moral guidance and psychological support. The study concludes that ICT-driven approaches integrated with traditional da’wah can strengthen crisis preparedness, inclusivity and spiritual sustainability.
