Abstract
This study investigates the organizational enablers of New Product Development (NPD) success in Malaysia’s automotive industry, focusing on Information Technology (IT) Capability, NPD Strategy, NPD Process, and the moderating role of Top Management Support (TMS). Grounded in the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Contingency Theory, the research employs a quantitative approach involving 500 respondents from Tier-1 automotive vendors and analyzes the data using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that IT Capability, NPD Strategy, and NPD Process significantly enhance NPD success, while Top Management Support strengthens these relationships by promoting innovation and strategic alignment. The study provides theoretical contributions and practical guidance for achieving sustainable innovation and strengthening the competitiveness of Malaysia’s automotive industry.
