Abstract
Pathway+ is an online system specifically designed in efforts towards addressing the growing issue of occupation and skill mismatch in graduates in Malaysia. It wants this transition between what can be taught in academics and what industry needs through provision in aiding careers and in computing skills. It wants it at university undergraduates and recent graduates that typically lack smoothness in what they have and what industry immediately needs in the labour market. It follows the process of software development using Agile, as a result of which any enhancement can be included in the cycle in iterations. Incrementally functional modules were developed, which were personalized recommendations for jobs, personalized study material, mentor forums, resume builders, and work-at-home jobs. User requirements and system requirements were determined through interviews and surveys and were analyzed using diagrams like use case, and flowchart. The ultimate-product, Pathway+, will offer users an integrated system in assisting them in making sensible and effective occupational choices and improving marketability in the job market. Preliminary reviews reflect that users will be able to make use of the system in the skills gaps analysis,Resume smoothenng, and exposure towards related work vacancies. This finding resonates with the potentiality of the system in solving graduate unemployment and building information-literate graduates in Malaysia.
