Abstract
Psychological struggles among university students are complex, with various factors intertwining to impact their well-being. These factors encompass pressures, financial strains, social hurdles, adjustment challenges, and a lack of support systems. The psychological challenges faced by university students can manifest in ways such as anxiety, depression, stress-related issues, and burnout. This study explored the factors associated with psychological distress among Malaysian university students following changes in learning methods during the post-COVID period. Using data from 346 UiTM students, the findings showed that academic workload and changes in learning approaches significantly influenced depression, anxiety, and stress. Social engagement significantly affected depression and anxiety, while communication significantly affected depression only. The study concludes that understanding these factors is important for universities in creating supportive learning environments that enhance students' academic success and well-being.
