Abstract

The rapid growth in information technology has reshaped education, increasing teachers' responsibilities and potentially leading to technostress, which affects job performance through psychological, physical, and emotional strain. The study examines the relationship between technostress and job performance among rural teachers in Segamat, Johor, as well as the effect of boss phubbing. Using a quantitative approach and a sample of 251 teachers, the research is based on the Transactional Theory of Stress. The findings indicate that Techno-Overload and Techno-Complexity affect job performance, while boss phubbing does not moderate the relationship between technostress and job performance.
